Curt Schilling’s video game company files for bankruptcy

The video game company owned by former Boston Red Sox pitcher, Curt Schilling, filed for bankruptcy protection last week.

The bankruptcy filing is currently  being investigated by the federal authorities. Two years ago, the company moved to Rhode Island because of a $75 million state loan guarantee, but it has now (along with its sister company) filed for liquidation  bankruptcy.

According to KWWL online, the company, 38 Studios, owes $150.7 million and it has assets of just over $20 million.  The company fired its staff last month. The sister company, 38 Studios Baltimore owes more than $121.4 million.
