The Wisconsin Foreclosure Mediation Network Can Help You

gold announce_200pxIf you are struggling to pay your mortgage and worry that foreclosure is in your near future, you may be able to participate in the Wisconsin Foreclosure Mediation Network (FMN). Our very own Nathan DeLadurantey has worked with the FMN project since its inception. Nathan assists clients with the FMN process to work on a loan modification while  slowing down their foreclosure case.

The FMN was created to respond to the overwhelming foreclosure rate in Wisconsin. The FMN offers foreclosure mediation services to all Wisconsin residents to help ensure that foreclosure occurs only as a last option.

According to the FMN website, their mission is twofold:

  • To employ mediation as an efficient, neutral, voluntary, and confidential vehicle to bring about mutually satisfactory results to parties in a residential foreclosure, and,
  • To maintain a shared network connecting all Wisconsin foreclosure mediation programs through a single website, hotline, and regular conferences to facilitate the exchange of best processes, practices, knowledge, technology and resources.

The FMN has been extremely successful. In fact, in 2011, Judge Kelley of the Eastern District Bankruptcy Court in Wisconsin [-1] decided to create a similar loan modification program in the bankruptcy court. Again, Nathan DeLadurantey was part of the leadership team that created and improved the program. In 2013, Nathan was among three attorneys that received an award (commonly referred to as the “Bankruptcy Lawyer of the Year” award) for his contribution to the program.

If you have any questions regarding foreclosure, loan modifications or bankruptcy, Nathan DeLadurantey is the “go-to person” for other attorneys and for you. Give us a call today to learn how we can help you!
